Guyana Gold by Money Makin Nique

There is this common misconception that Atlanta only produces trap music or one and done acts. Even though there are several examples that Atlanta's music culture is diverse, it still tends to fall into that stereotype. Well, I have another artist to throw you off that way of thinking. We have here, Money Makin Nique, The Lion King, The Roughneck. Nique's latest project is entitled Guyana Gold. He tells the story of how Atlanta is synonymous with the biblical city of Babylon. The story of how the city is doomed while at the same time it thrives. If you live or frequent Atlanta, you know exactly what he is saying. Guyana Gold gives listeners a full length project to indulge in, something Nique's previous project didn't. You get to pull back the layers as he navigates through the city he calls Babylon. Vice Haus Deluxe

ForteBowie is back. Vice Haus was originally released in February as an EP. Forte now has revisited the project and juiced it up to the point of what it should have been in the first place. Vice Haus Deluxe takes you on reminiscent road, but yet still gives you a forward sound. Atlanta hip hop has gone away from its Organized Noise roots, but Forte is in the driver seat of bringing you back to that era. He's a genre-bender, he refuses to be categorized in a sub-genre or even labeled as certain type of performer. Refuses! Definitely something to appreciate. Several notable tracks on the project, but "Ready for the World" and "Ain't Shit" get my top nods. I'm ready to see what Forte does with this project, and hope the best for him. It deserves a listen in its entirety.

ASAP Rocky - Anti-Red Lips

You've probably heard by now about Asap Rocky's dislike of red lipstick on dark skin black women. Well, I'm here to back him up on this but he said it all wrong. Red lipstick looks bad on women period. It's not a matter of race, complexion, creed or whatever, red lips just look bad. I personally think red lipstick looks bad on 99.5% of women. Why do you want to look like a baboon's ass? SMH. Anyway, Rocky would've avoided most of the backlash if we would've just said that red lipstick looks bad on all women. Matter of fact it would've made my campaign a lot easier against these silly red lips you women feel the need to wear if he would've just relayed the message properly. Below is the excerpt from The Coveteur in which Rocky made his comments.

On girls wearing makeup: "But you girls don’t understand how much you mess up your skin. You can’t help it, but make-up is the worst thing you can do to your skin. I love girls natural, but I don’t mind make-up. There’s nothing wrong with it, there’s really nothing wrong with it. See, guys like us we just like—well me, I only speak for myself, but guys like me, I’m used to normal. I’m used to real. Like yeah, your shit is going to stink, you’re real, you know? You piss, you bleed, you laugh, you cry—you’re human. So makeup is just like an artificial expression if you ask me. When it’s time to get all dazzled up or you’re going out, then fine. I like red lips, it’s fine. I’m going to be real, though: it’s bad for making out, because it gets on the guys." - As told to The Coveteur by A$AP Rocky

Trinidad James - Females Welcomed [Video]

Just in case you haven't caught it yet. I know the blue devils are part of the Trinidad Carnival, but I wish he woulda left them out of the video. Sends the wrong message.
